Oil and gas discovery in Montecristi. BSD Global Exploration has announced the discovery of significant oil and natural gas deposits in Montecristi, northwest Dominican Republic, using advanced 3D seismic and proprietary remote sensing technology.
The company estimates the presence of hundreds of millions of barrels of oil and BTUs of gas. Geophysicist Paul McColgan described it as one of the best targets he’s seen in 25 years. While drilling has not begun, the discovery is being developed by Global Min, S.R.L., with government support. BSD believes this breakthrough could transform the Dominican economy.
