US firm awarded US$12mn contract to upgrade Jamaica’s tax administration system. Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has awarded a sole-source contract worth approximately US$11.7mn to US-based Fast Enterprises LLC to upgrade its Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS), the platform used to process income, property and general consumption taxes. The upgraded system is expected to become operational by March 2027 and is intended to improve taxpayer services and support revenue collection. The award comes as the government targets tax revenue of US$6.1bn in fiscal year 2026/27, within projected total revenue of US$8.4bn against planned expenditure of US$8.8bn.
